This app is a very good and efficient course for a first contact with the German language. Its neither purely grammatical nor based on incomprehensible chunks, therefor its great for beginners who look for standing a basic dialogue while knowing what they are saying.

Very good application for beginners

Once again the guys at Mirai fail to disappoint. I travel the world for work and having an easy to use language tool at my disposal is quite valuable. I only hope they continue to add more languages. French, Russian and perhaps even Arabic would compliment the current suite of products.

I love this app! I want more with further levels of proficiency. I would buy ten different levels if they sold them! Just the best language app Ive run across on the iPhone, and Ive tried about 10.

Amazing language learning app. I believe they need to add pictures under words to implant them in your brain.. Otherwise good.

great language tool. i have purchased desktop language software that was not as effective as this. each lesson is clear and unbloated. the spoken part of each lesson runs between 10 to 15 minutes, so there is a healthy amount of value for $5. between rewinds, summaries, vocab, and the quiz, each lesson took me about an hour to complete. my only complaint? there isnt more to learn! i would gladly pay for more courses, as it is still cheaper than its computer counterparts while being just as (if not more) effective.

Very good app to have to stay in conversational practice. Great reference for vocabulary basics as well.

Ive tried learning German alone before and nothing has as much complete info as this. Watching the dialogue while listening is extremely helpful. I just love how its set up

Love this app. Good explanations, setup and the native speakers are priceless. It makes it slot easier to learn and remember.

I enjoy using the apps for German, Japanese, and Chinese. Very natural way of learning. Foreign language classes in school should learn from these apps.

I have primarily been learning German with audio only courses, and few of them do a good job of explaining German grammar. This program has filled in a lot of gaps for me, and has been a great addition to my language learning toolbox. After doing 50% of the program, I can say without a doubt that I made a great purchase. I also own iStart Spanish and cant wait to use it to brush up on my Spanish skills. Both are definitely recommended! Btw - I hope they upgrade the German program with pictures like they recently upgraded the Spanish program. Either way, it is still a 5 star program, but pictures would make it 5 stars+.

It is great but I wish that it had another level . I use it as a supplement to studying with some textbooks and practice with my husband.

This app has a nice layout and us easy to navigate and use. Please make more of these all the way to advanced level! I will buy them all!

This is overall great starter app thats it, for someone like me who really want to learn and speak German its not nearly enough information for the price of this app. Please add more information, more sentences, phrases, maybe even flash cards would add a great addition. I see great potential with app with more information.
